COMMERCIAL WORK

For the last seven years I’ve worked as a commercial copywriter, editor, content curator and proofreader. I’m adept at crafting clear and compelling stories that keep customers excited and engaged, on topics ranging across culture, lifestyle, technology, sports, travel and healthcare. My previous clients include: Adobe, Adidas, Brewdog, Budweiser, Hewlett Packard, Levi’s, Dr Martens, New Era, PayPal, Sky Sports, Visit Sweden, and Warner Music. Lionsgate

In 2023, I was commissioned by VICE and the American media company Lionsgate to write a series of articles to help promote the second season of the hit American tv show, BMF (starring Snoop Dogg, 50 Cent and Eminem). I also designed the social media posts that would promote the articles across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram Stories and TikTok.

NEW ERA

Since 2018, I’ve written and edited all of the music editorial for the Europe branch of the legendary streetwear brand, New Era. My role includes helping to curate the artists the brand works with, research, interviewing, copywriting and social content.

DIAGEO

In 2021, Diageo held the World Class Cocktail Festival in eight countries around the world. To help promote this, I was commissioned by VICE and Diageo to write and edit 16 feature length articles about each of the host cities, their cocktail scene and the visionary mixologists who are putting them on the map. These features were translated into six different languages and published globally. Read an example of my piece for Toronto on the link below.

pretty green

For 18 months (2018-2020), I worked as the editor for the ‘Discover’ Section of Pretty Green’s website, where I wrote, edited and published features about music, sports and fashion. I also did the copywriting for their new collabs, including special projects with Umbro, Creem Magazine and others.

sky sports

I wrote and edited three interview features for Sky Sports to help promote a new podcast called ‘Sidelines’. The features involved interviewing and profiling the three stars of the podcast: Big Zuu (grime MC), Martha (DJ and producer) and Nathaniel Rich (founder of Swim Dem Crew). My work involved creating the features as well as headlines and social media copy.

brewdog

I worked with Brewdog and VICE in creating a feature titled ‘How to be a Consumer with a Conscience’ to help promote a global summit for brands, politicians, scientists and activists to discuss climate change.

LEVI’S ‘CRAFT OF MUSIC’

For Levi’s and Warner Music, I wrote and edited an entire print magazine to celebrate their ‘Craft of Music’ campaign in Liverpool in 2019. This involved interviewing the UK rapper Loyle Carner, the Premier League footballer Daniel Sturridge, and many unsung heroes from the Liverpool community. The magazine was awarded a bronze award at the D&AD Awards 2020.

TREEDOM

I wrote a feature about climate change and the power of trees to connect us to something greater as part of a collab between VICE and the agroforestry platform, Treedom. I was also responsible for all social media copy to promote the feature across VICE’s platforms.
